The Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering Sciences of the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences at ETH Zurich (www.chab.ethz.ch) invites applications for the above-mentioned position. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong background in chemical engineering and chemistry and the potential to develop an ambitious, world-class program in emerging areas of chemical engineering with focus on sustainability, risk analysis, and product- and process technology.
Candidates should have a PhD degree in chemical engineering or a related field and have an excellent international record of accomplishments. The new professor should be motivated and committed to teach undergraduate level courses (German or English) and graduate level courses (English) in chemical engineering.
This assistant professorship has been established to promote the careers of younger scientists. The initial appointment is for four years with the possibility of renewal for an additional two-year period and promotion to a permanent position.
